Frequently asked questions
Can you set up a brand new computer I have just bought?
Yes — this is one of the most common things we do. We handle the full setup: Windows or macOS configuration, account creation, transferring your files and documents from your old computer, installing your software, and making sure everything works the way you need it to.
Can you transfer everything from my old computer to a new one?
Yes. We transfer your documents, photos, emails, browser favourites and settings from your old computer to your new one. Most transfers are completed in a single on-site visit.
Do you work with both Windows and Mac computers?
Yes. We work with all versions of Windows (including Windows 10 and 11) and all versions of macOS. We are comfortable with laptops and desktops from HP, Dell, Lenovo, ASUS, Apple and all other major brands.
My computer is running very slowly — can you speed it up?
Often yes. Slow computers are usually caused by too many startup programs, accumulated junk files, malware, or an ageing hard drive that needs replacing with an SSD. We diagnose the cause and sort it out on-site.
Can you remove a virus or malware from my computer?
Yes. We remove viruses, malware, ransomware and unwanted software, and install proper security software to prevent future infections. We also make sure your Windows updates and browser are up to date.
Do you come to my home or do I need to take my computer somewhere?
We come to you. On-site visits are available across the Gold Coast, Hinterland, South Brisbane and Northern NSW. Remote support is also available for purely software-based issues.
